Hi Devanga,
Conduct counseling on a periodical basis with employees. You can try conducting surveys through a structured questionnaire related to job satisfaction and work conditions.

Hi,
You can start a new initiative at your workplace, such as sending weekly inspirational quotes from the HR department, organizing workshops like team-building games, corporate games, etc., and initiating reward and recognition plans (if that is missing).
Good luck! :)

Hi,
There are many things to consider when it comes to new initiatives, depending on various factors such as the size of the company and industry vertical. For example, as an HR initiative, we are in the process of launching a Knowledge Management portal. We have also introduced the OLC (Online Learning Center) through Oracle OLM. Additionally, we have started fostering a very transparent work culture as part of our new HR initiatives.
Cheers,
Bhupesh

Hi,
Start with an "open house" system where your team can talk to the senior management team.
Please note.
Always remember we are the bridge between management and employees. When you conduct an open house, you need to ensure that you are creating confidence within your workforce as an HR person.
Make minutes of the open house and display them on the notice board. Also, create highlights for things that are implemented.
It's your duty to ensure that the outcome of the open house will be implemented within a stipulated time. Major implementations should have proper visibility through effective communication. For example, if an employee has requested a particular thing, the employee and the senior manager will inaugurate that process.
Regards,
Tony

Hi,
First of all, congrats, though late!
My request is to try to get your KRAs first. Request your RM that you wish to focus on the dissemination of KRAs across the organization, unless your RM thinks otherwise.
Every employee would be interested in advancing his/her career goals and trying to get a good list of MBA/Tech Programs of short term, medium term, and long term. Have a liaison with eminent education institutions and invite speakers to share their experiences on different aspects of human life. You can be the coordinator and front-end this initiative.
Arrange for informal get-togethers, not exceeding 45 minutes a week, and ask employees to share their views on any topic of their choice, of course with due moderation. You may front-end this initiative.
And all the best!

The best thing to start off with is a work-life balance. So you can ensure that people leave the workplace at a particular time. Put a list of folks out and let them choose 3 days in a week when they leave on time. The remaining two, they can leave as per work permits. Hope this helps!

Hi All,
There can be a lot of things that can be started in any company in HR. For example, as some of the persons said - open house meetings, stress buster programs, informal meetings, newsletters, etc. Another thing could be implementing some employee involvement activities such as office TPM/5S, cross-functional teams, etc. Additionally, a forum for HR can be introduced where an HR representative can sit at a specific place in the office for some hours each week to receive feedback, whether positive or negative.

Dear Shilpi,
As a part of Rewards & Recognition (R&R), you can begin with the star performer of the quarter/year, employee referral program (which may award the referee with gift vouchers, etc.), and year completion with the organization. For example, somebody completing 2 years of service with your organization may be awarded a pen or something similar. For this, take into consideration the number of years the person has completed and plan a budget accordingly. Look for an appropriate gift based on the budget allocated, and so on...

Hi,
You could do the following:
1. Map potential against the designation of existing employees.
2. Plan for an OPEN HOUSE (for employees to share their concerns).
3. Guest lectures once a month.
4. Movie Club.
5. Library.
6. Official Newsletter.
7. Titbit corner.
8. Organize Picnics.
9. Skip level meetings.
All the best, there is so much to do.

Hi,
You should define at least 2-3 objectives related to organizational and departmental objectives. You will need to identify these given the tasks for the department. For example, developing an induction module and personal development. Make sure you complete these tasks.

Radhey
