HI Sruthi,
Pay slip is given monthly, with that particular months (Earning,Gross Earnings) and also (Deductions ,total Deductions) with total net pay..this structure of pay slip would let us know how much we have earned & how much it has been deducted category wise (basic,HRA,LTA,Medical,PF,ESI,IT etc)from our monthly income.
Coming to CTC: its pa...so that wont reflect in payslip..
hope this info suffice.

Dear Sruti,
pay slip is tabular representation of all salary/wage/compensation details.
Every employer is bound to distribute the salary slip before disbursement of salary or on the day of issuing salary.
Salary slip format may vary from employer to employer.
it shows all deductions, taxes etc.
Finally it shows the NET (ie. Take home salary )salary for employee.
Thanx &
Bye

Hello,
I am a budding HR in an upcoming IT firm.
My MD gave me new responsibility to create payslips for 3 categories of employees:
1. One for an employee who is in probation period and having the salary less than 10000 per month.
2. One for an employee who is in probation period and having the salary more than 10000 per month.
3. Permanent employee whose salary is 12000 per month.
Kindly help me to generate these payslips.

Hi Sruthi
As Padmini suggested payslip is just a tabular format of all earnings & deductions.
More over there is no any standard structure for payslips. you shall design your own pay slips. If need I shall mail you few samples.
CTC is only the structure and it won't reflect in pay slips. CTC is reflected in appoint letters and increment letters only
