Hello Namrita
Well, to suggest you something interesting you can conduct role plays with your batches.
You can divide the whole strength of your batch into several teams, depends on the strength of your batch {4-5 members in each team).
You can give them topics like news presentation wherein 1 member from a group can act as a News Reader another one as a News Reporter and 3rd person may be a sportsmen or celebrity etc.
Do not assign any role or provide scripts (Dialogue)to the group let them work among themselves.
Give them 30 minutes or whatever is better according to you to practice for their task.
and then ask them to demonstrate their presentation.
for eg- if you get a batch of 10 people, you can divide that in 2 groups, Group A & Group B,announce the topic of the role play for example news presentation, court room drama (Roles-Judge, 2 lawyers, police man, etc advertisement {Roles-Any character--ask them not to copy the commercial advertisement which are telecast on television, they can promote some brand}, cookery show {roles- Chef, host, guest).
remember to give the same topic to all the groups.
let them decide the characters and dialogues among themselves based on the topic you announce.
Ask them to deliver their performance team wise.
everybody will enjoy the session and the best part of this exercise is that you can evaluate you trainees on their confidence level, team coordination, voice quality, team concept, creativity, communication skills, interpersonal skills & comprehension.
