Hi folks, I am into HR and doing my MBA from IGNOU. But now I would like to start MBA from good institutes like XLRI/Symbi in Distance learning. Please guide me with the details.

Tell me one thing, if you are doing an MBA from IGNOU itself, then what is the need to pursue it again from XLRI, especially through distance education? In my opinion, there is no use in doing that. Kindly rethink.

Thank you for your reply. I am pursuing an MBA from IGNOU through distance learning and have completed only one semester. My organization has informed me that an IGNOU MBA may not provide significant value if I intend to transition into core HR and relationship-oriented roles.

Good that you have decided to do an MBA from a reputed institute. Trust me, the value of an MBA comes from the inputs and the value additions a student gets from the institute and the faculty. I have done Ex-PGPG from XLRI. And trust me, it's the best thing that happened to me. I could work on gaining experience, and at the same time, I got to interact with the best faculties on the campus. My MBA would have never held such meaning had I not done it from this premier institute. And not to mention, the salary hike after I got my degree! :D
