am from btech bkgrnd,so dont know much abt HR,

Cite hr is a good website and you can find everything related to HR.
Well, In GD you will be judge on following parameters: -
- Communication Skills
- Leadership Qualities
- Ability to think on fast pace.
- Convincing Power
And to get success in interview there is no shortcuts give your 100% with full confidence and you will succeed.

First of all hearty congratulation to ms sreerupa for cracking the tiss test
I have been thru all the written test/GD & PI at TISS..During that time ( circa 2004) written paper consisted of 70 marks..we had to write an essay..they would conduct an GD after that which would carry 30 marks..
At the end if the day combined result of written test and GD would come out, based on whioc candidate wud be shortlisted for PI.
PI at TISS is one of the most dreaded experience you wil have in ur life. Interviews started at morning 8 am and my turn came at evening 8pm..even after getting bored and feeling sleepy after doing nothing for 12 hrs, i entered the PI chamber with a fake smile on my face. As my badluck would have it, i was raped !!!!
PI consits of 70 marks and past academic record consists 30 marks...Ur selection for TISS depends upon this 100 marks...earlier marks of written test and GD are not counted here...
Tips for written test:
abilities to exhibit:
-written english skills
-ability to think
-ability to express your opinions/thoughts
-knowledge of current affairs
Tips for GD:
-Be calm
- being aggressive and snatching others opportunities to speak wont do any good...i barely managed to speak twice, in totality i spoke 5 words each time, still i was selected..there was a gal who dominated the whole GD and left us dumbstruck, she wasnt shortlisted..
-Speak to the point
Tips for the PI:
-Be Super Calm
-Show your knowledge of current affairs
-Be true to urself and dont bluff
