Dear Sender Nice posting - Every one should love the wife as a girl friend and vis a vis his career. L.Kumar

Dear all,

Being a soft skills Trainer and having travelled to various locations in the country, I have encountered a very common question, mostly asked by freshers and less experienced people.

What is the difference between Job and Career?

The difference between a job and a career is like the difference between a girlfriend and a wife. Lets see:

Girlfriend vs Job:

Everyone wants a very beautiful girlfriend who one can boast about.

Similarily everyone wants to join a popular and traditional company which one can boast about.

A girlfriend should be tempting and should give everything that you want.

A job should be lucrative and should give everything that you want.

A girlfriend should not be a liability

A job should not be a liability.

Career vs Wife:

Wife should as a whole satisfy you.

Career should as a whole satisfy you.

Wife should be with you in bad times.

Career should sail you through the bad times.

Wife may not be that beautiful but the package as a whole should be satisfactory.

Career might not get you that money as many others get in their career but it should satisfy you as a whole.

Now question is what about those who want a career just for money?

Answer is these are the people who see no difference between a girlfriend and a wife or they want a wife like their girlfriend or vice-versa.

Do give your inputs

Cheers and Bi  :P

Dear all,
Thanks for your responses.
Here it is worth mentioning that the same theory would not apply in countries like the US/ australia, due to a different attitude and way of living.Same is true with Indians living personal life the american way.
Females should not be disgusted as its not only Girlfriend Vs Career. It is also Boyfriend Vs Career. Same logics apply.
I would love to have objections on this.
