Employee's basic salary exceeds ₹21,000 due to a backdated increment and bonuses are paid as part of gross salary, and basic salary of some employees exceeds 21000 due to that they are not part of the bonus and we have already paid them bonuses. While calculating arrears when we subtract from bonus (new rate) - bonus (old rate), values are coming in minus, how can we book that negative bonus ammount in accounting?
