The holidays in private establishments are regulated by separate State enactment. In Andhra Pradesh, an Act, viz, The Andhra Pradesh Factories and Establishments (National, Festival, and other Holidays) Act, 1974 is available. Every establishment is expected to notify in November the holidays the establishment is going to have in the coming year. As per the Andhra Act, five such festival holidays are available. These holidays are declared after consulting with the employees. This is in addition to 26th January, August 15th, and 2nd October, which are national holidays. If your establishment has declared Eid as a holiday, then only it will be a holiday for your establishment.
