I placed an order with a manufacturer on a piece-rate basis. For example, for pens, I ordered 100,000 pieces at an agreed-upon rate. In this case, am I liable for the PF compliance of the manufacturer to whom I have given the piece-rate contract?

The manufacturer will ensure proper setup of the facility to meet all compliance requirements. You are simply purchasing the product from the manufacturer and not hiring them as contractors for your premises, so you will not be held liable.

Hi everyone!
Nowadays, I face a big challenge when I need to get corrections done in the PF member account of my company, which is not possible online. For example, in October 2022, I submitted documents for a name correction for one employee to the PF department. After numerous follow-ups, it was not done. Later, we filed a grievance on the portal, but it got closed without any action, and no one responded properly on the helpline number. The PF department's account changes every 2-3 months, making proper interaction difficult.
I have some pending issues that have been unresolved for a year. Can anyone please guide me?

Many of the HR professionals or persons who handle ESI, EPF & other compliances don't visit respective authorities. Hence, many times, even authorities will not support any queries raised online.
It is always better to maintain a good relationship with all the authorities, meet them at least once every 3 months, obtain contact numbers of the authorities, and thereafter your queries will get resolved without any hurdles.
