We have some employees in other cities, and I'd like to know what they do every day. It is their responsibility to submit daily reports to the Human Resources Department.
How should the report be formatted, and how should the email draft look?

Please provide all details of the matter when you ask for someone's opinion. In this case, we do not know who you are, what your relation to the employees is, whether they report to you or not, or what type of work they do. Without these details, how do you expect to get a proper answer from the forum?

Hi, they can email the Daily Job Status Report to their superior with a copy to HR. You have not mentioned the nature of work of those employees. If it is sales, their volume of work can be measured by the number of clients met, out of which how many sales were closed.

Hello Sir, Greetings! I am responsible for HR & Admin activities at our company. A total of 50 employees work for us in various parts of India. Currently, we have 24 employees in the office, and the remaining employees work remotely. There are some salespeople and some Solutions Engineers in that group. No leave application was submitted for a single day in the last two years. During our meeting, our director asked about how we consider those employees' attendance and what they do all day.

Presumably, you are providing company SIM cards to those employees who work remotely or in the field. You can inquire with your service provider, whether it is Vodafone Idea (VI) or Airtel, to offer the Employee Tracker feature. This will enable you to track the whereabouts of your employees. Smart sales/field executives may diligently report their attendance and details of client visits to the office; however, they might be inactive while at home. Implementing an "Employee Tracker" can help prevent such instances of employees being overly clever.

Dear Citehr Member Ms. Neeta Mule,
Your query seems straightforward but cannot be answered easily. To provide an appropriate flowchart for taking daily attendance and work reports, it is essential to know the hierarchy of staff posted in Pune and those deployed outside Pune, along with the designation of their immediate controlling officer and the station of posting of that Controlling Officer. You can write confidentially to the email ID below without disclosing the name of your company and the names of the employees and controlling officers. An attempt will be made to provide a suitable flowchart for obtaining daily feedback, work reports, attendance, etc.
