Help needed! I applied to CTS and got selected. As my salary is below the tax slab, I did not get any Form 16 from my employer for the first year. CTS is asking me for Form 16, but I don't have that. I have bank statements, salary slips, and offer/appointment/relieving letters with me.

Will they revoke my offer? Do all companies ask for Form 16 for BGC?

When your tax is not deducted, then you will not get Form 16. Please ask your present employer to provide an income certificate in Excel duly signed by them. They cannot cancel your offer due to this. Even you can give a self-declaration of your month-wise income.

Ask to employer they will issue.

Today, I received mail from them. They are saying whether income is taxable or non-taxable, you should get Form 16. Also, they asked me not to deactivate my salary bank account. This is my first switch, and now it's getting frustrating.

income taxable or non taxable not matter for Form 16. It can issue for non taxable amount employee’s also.

Prem Chandra, I asked them again and again. They are saying it's for the year 2019-2020, and the due date has passed, so they cannot issue it now.

Am I overthinking this? Are bank account statements or salary slips enough?

They are right. Can't issue after the closing due date. First, get correct yourself and don't ask such things that are beyond the due limitation.

What you are overthinking, request the employers; they will show you the way.

So other things such as bank statements or salary slips will be enough for BGC? My offer won’t get affected right?

Issue of Form 16 is compulsory only in case you have taxable income. The employer is under no obligation to provide the same in any other case.

Some employers do give it if the employee asks, but if they refuse, you can't do anything.

The HR of your new company is obviously clueless. Unfortunately, you cannot antagonize them. So explain the situation to them, and logically, they should be able to verify your salary from your bank account.

Completely agree but some organization like CTS insist on form 16, how to tackle with that? I am afraid about my offer if it will get revoked due to form 16
