There is nothing called the Karnataka Bonus Act 1965. It is the Payment of Bonus Act 1965 (Central Act). There may be any bonus rule for Karnataka. I have no idea.

Bonus should be paid as per the PB Act, 1965 considering Available surplus, allocable surplus, Set On & Set Off.

I would request to read the PB Act once to understand the law.

Dear SNK,

Rules exist as Karnataka Bonus rules as per the Karnataka Payment of Bonus Act (PBA). While the PBA is a Central Act, individuals in the respective states must adhere to their state rules when complying, submitting returns, etc.

Thanks,
