Hello Fellow Members!
Do help me with my confusion - We are in the process of creating an HR Policy Manual. Do we need to list out the holidays under the heading NATIONAL HOLIDAYS or FESTIVAL HOLIDAYS? Or will it suffice just to say HOLIDAY LIST and then list out all the holidays? Can you please guide? I am trying to make sure that there are no errors as this will be an official document.
Looking forward to your valued suggestions.
Thanks,

Hi, You can bring all leave eligibilities ( including NH/FH, CL, PL,SL , Comp off if any) under title " Leave Policy "

A simple HOLIDAY LIST should be more than adequate.
You must, of course, highlight optional holidays, state-specific holidays, etc., if your organization has branches or offices in other locations.
Also, provide clarity about the company policy on taking sandwich leave.
Trust my input helps.

You may mention as heading "PAID HOLIDAYS." It will elaborate in the policy as the number of days of paid holidays in a year, including National holidays. Tentative festivals will be considered as paid holidays, etc. If any specific holidays fall on a Sunday, how to treat them should be clarified. Additionally, procedures for handling situations such as strikes should also be covered in the policy.
