Dear All,

A person was working for our organization during the pandemic. Work from home was in practice. She was working without reporting to anybody on her work process. Immediately after the pandemic, she wants to resign and wants to receive her full salary. Is this applicable? Kindly guide.

Regards,
Ramya

It is not clear as to what the factual status is. When the employee has worked during pandemic times, did you pay her full salary or part salary? Now that she has resigned, is she claiming the remaining amount? What have you done for others? If it has been paid to others, you cannot deny the benefit on the grounds that she has resigned. Please come out with the actual position.

Dear Ramya Sundar,

While raising a post on the public forum, members are expected to provide complete information. In your post, the third sentence reads, "She was working or reporting to anybody on her work process." Did you forget to type the word "not" in the sentence? Anyway, please confirm the following:

a) Designation of the employee: -
b) Date of Joining: -
c) Number of subordinates: -
d) Who the employee was reporting to: -
e) What tasks were given to her: -
f) Whether or not the appointment letter is issued, and if issued, then what is the notice period: -
g) If she was non-communicative, then what correspondence the reporting manager had with her: -
h) If she was not doing the tasks assigned to her, then whether or not a warning letter was issued to her: -

Once you provide us with the above information, the senior members will be able to give their worthy opinions.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
