If the employee is falling within the Salary threshold mentioned under both ESI and PF Act, then from the day one of the appointment and his joining day itself, he/ she needs to be covered and necessary enrollments to be done. When doing the monthly contribution after payroll their contributions will get updated in the portal. The cover is from day one.
