Hi All,
We are a startup firm in IT sales. Now, our director has instructed us to report to the office, and we have begun working full 9-6 shifts as per the CM's latest guidelines. Offices were supposed to reopen with full capacity. However, some employees are facing traveling issues and reaching home late due to limited bus availability.
Currently, our director is emphasizing that many leaves have already been granted. He urges us to consider how large MNCs or other startups and call centers are managing their employees on a 9-6 schedule without much flexibility to leave the office early.
Could anyone please share if your office has resumed operations and what flexibility your company is offering, especially for employees who live far away?
Thank you.

Dear Member,
Your employees' issue of facing difficulty can be empathized with, but you see, the business would only stand if we all support it. There were days when the business did not operate at all or with reduced working hours, but most of the businesses have supported their employees by not cutting their salaries.
However, you may convince employees to start at 8 a.m. and end by 5 p.m. as an alternative during the Corona time.
Hope this may provide some convenience for them to reach home timely.

Our office is working full-time, and people are coming to work on time. In view of the fact that trains are not working still in Mumbai, we are not being strict about the arrival time. However, that means we are okay with people being 10-15 minutes late, not an hour late.
The director should be a little flexible. But then it is a fact that in India, flexibility is generally misused.
