Hello everyone, I need opinion from you. Last year I had left the company without giving any notice period. I just gave my resignation and left the company in 2 days. I joined new company afterwards and that company did not ask for relieving letter of previous company. Now after 6 months of leaving my previous company, I checked my PF account and it is showing zero contribution amount of last 6 months and I can not mark my exit date in that company.

Does that mean am i still employed with my previous company? Is it a case of dual employment?
Will it cause any problem in future if i want to join new company ??

The reason i had left the company without giving notice because i was in probation period and there was no clause of notice period in probation. I talked to the HR person also and he told me that we have not accepted your resignation but they did not send me any formal mail or notice of that.

Please advise me what should i do this case.

If you have resigned, the resignation is not subject to their acceptance as under Indian law, there is no concept of forced employment. The legal rights that the company may have against you would be for breach of contract or failure to give notice period (both would be claim for compensation and not claim of specific performance).

Therefore, their failure to accept your resignation does not mean you are still working there.

PF portal now allows employees to mark their own exit dates.
This link should help you. Otherwise, the HR in your new company will tell you what to do.
