Dear Vinodh,
As long as the employee remains on the payroll of the establishment despite the unauthorized absence, he is deemed to be in service. However, contributions to the statutory bodies do not arise as he was not paid. Therefore, you have to initiate formal disciplinary action against him on the charge of unauthorized absence or abandonment of service, as the case may be, and terminate him after giving him all the opportunities to defend the charge of misconduct.

Dear Vinodh,
The name of the employee continues to remain on the roll until his termination of service.
As per your posting:
(i) the employee took leave for the last 2 months
(ii) was absent without information for the last two months.
In this case, either the employee had gone on leave but did not turn up, or the employee has been absent from the service for the last two months without intimation.
If the employee had gone on leave but did not turn up, then send communication to the employee to resume service; otherwise, the establishment will take action as deemed fit for the purpose. In the case of absenteeism without information, send communication stating that you have absconded as we have no information of leave. You are given 15 days to resume your duty; otherwise, it shall be presumed that you have abandoned your service at your will.
The PF and ESI are paid on wages earned by the employee. In this case, the employee earned nothing, but if on leave, consider the wages for the leave period.
