Are these supposed to be the same numbers - Notice period in case the company terminates you vs the notice period you are required to serve in case of resignation?

Can you have a policy to ask for a 60-day notice period in case of resignation and 30 days in case the employer terminates you?

Such a discriminatory notice clause would be against equity. Just because the employer happens to be a dominant party in the contract of employment, they cannot introduce such discrimination against the employee exclusively for their advantage in the notice clause of unilateral termination of the contract.

This is an unfair practice! While joining, you have to make it clear; most needy persons accept the conditions and salary offered, especially small-scale, private limited, proprietor-managed companies whose only ethic is to save and earn money.
