Hello,

The new Labour Law Codes 2020 are a significant transformation in the labor legislation landscape in India. These codes are aimed at simplifying and consolidating numerous labor laws into a more structured and comprehensible format.

1. The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 No. 37 of 2020: This law consolidates and amends the laws regulating the occupational safety, health, and working conditions of employees. Key features include:
- 🔽 Provision for a safe and healthy working environment for all types of establishments.
- 🈀 Concept of 'one registration' and 'one license' for establishments, making the process smoother.
- 🤷‍♀️ Women are permitted to work in all establishments for all types of work.

2. The Code on Social Security, 2020 No. 36 of 2020: This law seeks to extend social security to all employees and workers either in the organized or unorganized or any other sectors. It includes:
- 🈰 Provision for social security funds for unorganized workers, gig workers, and platform workers.
- 🔵 Maternity benefit to be available for all women employees.
- 🕠 Aims to provide a comprehensive social security system to cater to the well-being of the workers in the organized and unorganized sector.

3. The Industrial Relations Code, 2020 No. 35 of 2020: This law simplifies the laws relating to Trade Unions, conditions of employment in industrial establishments or undertaking, investigation, and settlement of industrial disputes. Highlights include:
- 🉑 Facilitates the formation of a negotiating union in every industrial establishment employing at least 300 workers.
- 🈵 Aims to promote harmonious relations between employers and workers and provides a mechanism for the resolution of disputes.

Please note that these codes are still subject to rules that are yet to be framed by the Central and State Governments. It's important to keep an eye on the official website (https://labour.gov.in/whats-new) for any updates.

Stay aware, stay compliant! 🈚️🤠
