Dear sir, What is the minimum count of workers in an establishment to take contract labour licence for Tamilnadu and Andhrapradesh? is the minimum count is common for all the state?

If you are a representative of the Principal Employer, you need not apply for a Contract Labour Licence, but you need to apply for a registration certificate from the Labour office of your area.

It is for the contractor to apply for a Licence for deploying contract manpower.

Minimum number is 20. If twenty or more labours are to be deployed, you need to go for a Labour Licence under CLRA Act.

In Adhra Pradesh, contract labour licence is required if the labour deployed is 50 or more. No licence is required for deployment of labour , less than 50
