Hello,
There are no definitions of the term "employee" given under the Partnership Act. The Partnership Act provides details on the ways in which an establishment can be incorporated or the form of establishment only, and the detailed procedure for registering the same, giving it legal sanctity. It does not govern the employment under the said Partnership.
Depending on the kind of partnership that is formed for the nature of business, the establishment/factory/industry (the partnership) will be governed by respective laws, e.g., the Shops and Establishment Act, Payment of Wages Act, Factories Act, IDA, etc.
Hope this clarifies your doubts.

Dear Colleague,
The definition of various categories of employees you are looking for is covered in the Model Standing Orders, which are part of the Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act/Rules. Please refer to it. As rightly pointed out, the Partnership Act does not deal with it.
