Dear Colleague,

Please ascertain the facts relating to the association with the competitor, i.e., any leak of confidential data or any act for pecuniary gains, etc. Only after obtaining concrete documentary evidence or witnesses can you proceed with the disciplinary action.

After the collection of all required data, you can issue an SCN, Charge sheet, or Charge sheet-cum-Suspension Order pending enquiry (depending on the gravity of the mistake and its impact on your company).
