An employee is not attending to the duties, as has not returned certain company's belongings and advance moneyand loans. Even after repeated reminders in verbal and notes he didnot.

Dear Mr.Srini,
Have a discussion with your managment to take a Police related action agonist this employee. Before that get the clear picture about his not presence and get a legal opinion also good.

Hi Shrinivas,
I think now you should have understood that why company retain one salary or do some deduction as security deposit just to avoid such situation.
Now when he is already absconding I think the best thing you can do is to send somebody from your support staff to his place first. Or else if the dues on him are very expensive then you go yourself & discuss it personally with him.

Dear Srini,
Arunkumar is right , you have to take legal opinion and then send the legal notice to that employee.
With the help of legal opinino, you can also consult to the local police. Advertise in the news papers including Disclaimer that he had done such things and from now on wards have no relation with the company.

Hi Nidhi, You are right. It is the action which can be taken in a humanity back ground. If that employee purposefully take this decision means we should not show any sympathy. Arunkumar.

Dear Arun,
By this instance cant we say that it is always good to withheld some amount from employee's earning to safeguard the company's property???
I might be wrong from employee's point of view. But do you think there is any other way to avoid such situations.??

Legal action is the only way out. get him a notice first (in the form of telegram) and give him the warning in the letter itself. dont forget to put a cc to some legal authoirty. give him soem time say a week and take him to legal proceedings.
i would also suggest you to search for his code of conduct among other employee and collect eye witnesses in this regard, if you can.
i think the issue will certainly be resolved by dropping a telegram or registered post only and will also serve an example to everybody.
