Hi Reena,
Its an open ended question and its answer will vary with an individual.
If I was an HR, my vision would be to have a "grievance free" organisation where everything should be as planned - a seamless flow of processes.
I would want to have lowest possible attrition, almost negligible salary/appraisal issues, no subordination/bossism issues.
Where every employee is aware of his rights and duties so as to avoid any confusion.....list goes on.
Does it not sound like Rabindra Nath Tagore's famous poem - "Where the mind is without fear...." :)
Tk care,
Yash.

Hi Reena,
The answer of your question "What should be your vision as an HR Head" can not be given in few words as the subject itself is very vast and of due importence.
As an HR Head, though not an standard reply, you have to have a crystel clear vision with a forsightness for upcoming events in the organization. According to me, an Hr Head must creat such a culture which will help enrich value to the organization in terms of making harmonius atmosphere among the employees, achieving complete employee satisfaction, developing the work force in order to extract their caliber and maximum outcome, assuring uninterrupted work flow, reaching optimal cost of man power as per organization's budget, providing all the required physiological and social security to its employee, and last but not the least, maintaining grievences less smooth functioning of all the work of the organization.

Hi Reena,
HR interview questions are mostly individual based. They vary from individual to individual and from company to company. So, what i suggest you dont take other people's ideas as these may conflict with yours and may create a even big problem.
What is suggest you is, before going to the Comapany for an interview, try to know whatever you can know about that particular company.Nowdays, finding information has been made easier through internet. Its obvious that the HR vision of a company is inter-linked with the comapny's vision. So, prepare a vision of yours which may help in reaching the company's vision.
The above process would for sure help you out.

You are right ravi. There is no clear cut answer for this question. It varies from organisation to organisation. There are some areas where HR head should concentrate:
1. Employee job satisfaction which controls attrition
2. employees role clarity which enables them to complete their job ontime.
3. Clear cut HR policies should be there so there should not be any room for doubt and confusion among employees, and work/job will not stop becuase of confusion.
all the best
