Friends,
We are aware that Supreme Court had passed important order on 28.2.2019 regarding applicability of PF on various allowances. Review petition filed against the order has since been dismissed. In the meantime the Department started issuing notices to establishments asking for data for past period to check compliance. EPFO has now issued circular dated 28.8.2019 (copy attached) to its offices not to take any action on such notices unless some information is available about illegal practice is being followed by them and not to make roving enquiries. This is just for your information.
Thanks

Dear Sir,
Thanks for providing us the latest circular. As per write up you have written that "Review petition filed against the order has since been dismissed'' while according to EPFO circular dated 28.02.2019 it is written as " It is further informed that review petition has been filed by some aggrieved parties before Hon'ble Supreme Court and is pending for adjudication'. Plz clarify.
