Dear Sir /Madam,
Suppose a Person retired from his job at the retained age of 63 years instead of 58 years .
Then such condition , the employer liable to pay gratuity to employee , as his/ her last salary drawn at the age of 63 years / 58 years and accordingly
number of service years counts as per his / her age of 63 years / 58 years.
suppose at the age of 58 years last salary drawn Rs 5800 and Number of year service is 12 years .
suppose at the age of 63 years last salary drawn Rs 7375 and Number of year service is 17 years .
Pl. advice me .

Hi Mukesh,
Gratuity calculation remain same whether 58 years or 63 years.
for 12 years the gratuity amount is Rs.40,154 @basic Rs.5800/-
for 17 years the gratuity amount is Rs.72,332 @basic 7375/-
More the service period more gratuity amount.
Further for the purpose of gratuity calculation Basic+DA to be considered.

Age of retirement is unimportant. Conditions laid down in Gratuity act need to be fulfilled for entitlement to gratuity.
