I have joined in ABC company but after after completion of my two years the company sold their business to xyz company including transfer of their employees. As per new employer appointment letter, my notice period was mentioned as 1 month. After 16 days, they revised their notice period policy from 1 month to 3 month through an email to all employees with immediate effect. By that time I have one offer hence I resigned immediately on the same day by giving one month notice and asked them to accept it. But they have not responded till 03 days before my relieving date & now asking me to serve three month notice.
Or else they are telling they won’t issue relieving letter. They have not paid my last month salary as well.
During my interview I have communicated my new employer about only one month notice as mentioned in the appointment letter hence they are also not ready to increase my date of joining. What can I do in this situation? Which notice period policy is acceptable for me?
I am even ready to buying out the remaining day notice for that also they are not accepting.
