The Government of India after consultation with the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, vide notification no G.S.R. 423 (E), has amended Rule 51 of Employees’ State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950, wherein the existing rates of employer and employee contribution of 6.5 percentage has been reduced to 4 percentage. The rate of contribution under the new amendment for employer's will be reduced from 4.75% to 3.25% and employees' contribution will be reduced from 1.75 percentage to 0.75 percentage. The amendment will be effective from 1st july 2019.
