Dear Vinay,
The condition to get maternity benefits under ESIC is that the insured female shall have contributed for not less than 70 days in the immediately preceding one or two contribution periods. The benefit can be claimed at any time prior to eight weeks before the expected date of confinement or from the date of confinement, as per the conditions and requirements of the insured woman.

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if a female employee has not been enrolled in PF contributions by the company and she wants to avail the Maternity Benefit? Also, please clarify if she will be eligible for full salary payment during that period of time. What should be done if the employer denies providing such benefits to the female employee?
