I am working for a France-based MNC company. The company sent me for a 15-day training abroad. For that, the company made a bond for 3 years. The bond value is 5 lakhs. I didn't know about the bond before; I came to know about the bond one month and 15 days after my joining date. HR didn't inform me beforehand. One week before my flight, they asked me to sign the bond. I disagreed with my last appraisal due to a lower percentage. After that, no one discussed it further, so I am planning to change my job. I don't have and don't want to pay that much money. Could you please help me or suggest how to leave a job without paying the amount?

Hi,

If you haven't signed the bond yet, then you don't have to pay the bond amount of 5 lakhs. Since your HR hasn't informed you about the bond before, they can't force you to sign it now.

If you have already signed the bond, then please seek legal advice from a lawyer on how to proceed further.
