Why do companies and industries not provide information regarding retirement benefits and existing pension rules to their employees before retirement? During the retirement period, employees receive meager amounts as retirement benefits, and most of them are not informed about the existing pension scheme as well.

Exploitation, disinformation, and inadequate implementation of acts and rules in letter and spirit are the order of the day, not only today but for ages. There is no difference in this respect during the colonial period and today. No sector could be singled out; both government/quasi-government and private sector are all culprits. India is due for a revolution, and that is the solution.
In your case, the only legal remedy is possible. Obtain the information required by writing to them and take a legal route if you are wronged.
