I have completed my MBA in Human Resources Management and am currently working as an Executive HR. However, I am very interested in taking on a role in Industrial Relations (IR) activities because I have decided to pursue a degree in LLB. I am curious how much this additional qualification will help my career. Can you please guide me?

Thank you!

Dear Guidance-Seeker,

Kritarth Team's Guide: Industrial Relations, as the nomenclature suggests, is about harmonious, helpful, and happy relationships between and amongst the stakeholders, namely the employer (read management team), the employed persons, and employees' unitedness. It is founded on the "humane touch" and "coming together, staying together, and working together."

To achieve this state, the stakeholders only need to be "sensitive" and "sensible." Hence, legalism is never needed as, in the course of work, the concerned persons/entities become familiar with provisions of applicable employment-related laws to carry forward their missions.

In spite of anything and everything, bonding and togetherness work. Try it out.
