Salary deposit to the bank is compulsory, but some employees do not have their own bank account. In this case, is it okay to deposit their salary into another employee's bank account with their authorization?

Thank you.

Dear Kapil,

Greetings!!!

Nowadays, it's very easy to open a bank account in any bank. Even the PF/ESIC department will help you to open bank accounts for your employees. Other ways of salary depositing into other accounts will create problems for you and your organization.

No, do not get into this kind of shortcuts. The payment will not be recognized as due discharge of employer's liability. Besides, tax liability will arise if he is a taxpayer. Anyway, it is not legally safe to accept someone's pay in your salary account.
