Our union election was held in November. There was a tie result in one departmental election. The election officer has not made any decision and declared the result as a tie. Please guide me:
1) Does the newly elected General Secretary/President have the right to reelection?
2) Does the newly elected General Secretary/President have the right to select any member from those who had a tie result?
3) Will the newly elected committee offer those who had a tie result a 1-year membership in the union?
4) What is the final solution?

Please tell us, what was the election for? Works Committee, I presume. It could be one year each, and who gets in first could be decided by a draw of lots. As a learning from this, let it be spelled out in the future as to how a tie would be resolved.

Why has the election officer not made any decision in the matter where the EO needs to set things in order? You need to understand why the EO did not make a decision and left it as it is. Have you talked to the groups? What views do they present and what do they want? Based on the views of the two groups, establish a written agreement, present it to the EO for a decision. This agreement will be binding for both groups as they have expressed their opinions to follow.
