I'm working in Butibori MIDC, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Before a month, due to a medical emergency at midnight, I had to admit my wife to a private hospital because the ESIC hospital is 45 km away from our location, and it was not possible to reach there in the middle of the night. The necessary treatment was done at that private hospital.

The bill from that hospital is high, beyond my paying capacity, so I paid it by borrowing money. Now, I need to reimburse it, but the officer at Butibori Dispensary is avoiding us. He keeps saying to come tomorrow, that he hasn't come today, or that he will come the day after tomorrow. This has been happening for the last month (and the same thing is happening with other people as well). Please suggest what I should do to solve this, and I will also help others in the same situation.

Dear Friend,

There are more than 25 ESIC tie-up/enpanelled hospitals. According to the information available, there are 2-3 ESI enpanelled hospitals in the Buti Bori Area. If the hospital from which you received treatment is on the list, then ESI is obligated to reimburse you.

Sometimes, it can be challenging for the doctor to handle cases that are beyond their capacity. If you are not satisfied, escalate the matter to the next level of authority, but always ensure to have written communication.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you.
