Dear All,

With respect to upgrading and enhancing skills, what should be the way forward for improving HR learning from a strategic perspective? Considering that the organization/sector does not provide many advantages in enhancing such skills, apart from workshops and seminars, what could be the various sources/steps to upgrade oneself?

Dear Sashmita,

I recommend that you understand the concept of strategy thoroughly. To achieve this, you may read books on business strategy. HR strategy flows from the business strategy. Unless one understands the strategy, jumping to a subset of the strategy may not serve much purpose.
