In my company, we have the employee ID cards. The color of the lanyard is black, and the same color lanyard is used for all vendors, visitors, and contractors so we could differentiate between employees and non-employees. I request someone to clearly explain the pros and cons of having the same color lanyard or tag across the company for all three different types of entries - employees, vendors, and visitors. Please help me in this regard.

Dear friend,
Employee: Have the photo affixed, use the bar code to access, specify working hours, etc. (Company Logo should be present).
Vendor: No Company Logo is required. Provide the card with the photo affixed, specify the vendor with their primary supply, and assign specific ID numbers.
Visitor: This card can serve a dual purpose as a vendor/visitor card. Mention the person's name, authorize the security guard with a specific ID number (issue 50 cards serially numbered), assign each card to every visitor/vendor, and collect it upon their departure from the company. Ensure they provide their license or any other identification during their stay in the organization. This process is crucial as it will prevent vendors/visitors from repeatedly approaching the security personnel. Two cards are sufficient, each in a different color.
Best of luck...
