Hello;
The employee joined in the midst of a month. His salary will be prorata of his monthly salary not the CTC. In CTC some benefits are applicable only on completion of some conditions like attandance, salary, service etc. If the employee works for full month, how much salary will be calculated, prorata of that amount.

The monthly salary is always prorated on Gross salary and not the yearly or monthly CTC, and by the way 15th Aug is a nation wide holiday... Were you working on that day, then also, ensure that you are paying double salary for 15th August.

What you pay to an employee is gross not CTC. CTC includes a Number of facilities and perks that the employee gets. Please tell me how you will divide our separate those perks pro rata and how you would recover the cost for those
For example his CTC includes training cost. Or cost of transport to office. How will you recover a part of that cost from his salary ?

Dear Athidhi, You must treat his / her joining date as 16th August and Salary to be calculated on following given manner 18000/30*16
