Hi everyone I have decided to use astrological knowledge (which I feel is my soul purpose in this life) to my recruitment service....your reaction please?

Dear Social Body,
To whom will you provide your astrological services? Will it be to job candidates or employers? What exactly will you do using astrological knowledge? What shortcomings in the existing recruitment methods would you like to address? Who will benefit from your knowledge and how? Will your services be horoscope-based, palmistry-based, or something else?
There are various methods to assess candidates, such as conducting recruitment tests and personal interviews. By using occult methods of astrology, will it not be akin to the old proverb "hath ke kangan ko aarsi kyon"?
Using astrology in a personal capacity is acceptable because people have been curious to know about their future for ages. However, curiosity does not diminish the mysticism of astrology.
There are many questions associated with your post. Please clarify.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

Hi, it will help both candidates and clients as both by using astrology. I won't predict anything; that's a wrong perception that astrology is about prediction. It rather helps understand the mindset and ability of a person. I will do all the steps of tests that all the other recruiters do, and my horoscope-based service will be an add-on. If they want, we will provide it. And once again, astrology is not about predictions, neither will my service be based on that.

First of all, astrology is not science, and obviously, it will not be a scientific method. Secondly, it will be against the Constitution, which states the spreading of science and scientific temperament. It shows that you don't have the knowledge and experience to deal with day-to-day issues. Horoscopes are fake and fraudulent. So, please do not resort to such unscientific activities.

Well, if I were in Kolkata and looking to recruit staff, I certainly wouldn't be using your recruitment service.
I fail to understand how this would make any difference. When I recruit staff, I base my decisions on the person's skills, experience, ability to do that particular job, and ability to fit in with the organization's culture. Nothing else is relevant.
Over the years I have been a member of CiteHR, I have noticed a number of - shall we say alternative - methods of recruitment. Graphology springs to mind as one. I shake my head and wonder just who makes this stuff up.
We have endless postings about recruitment problems, not being able to find staff, high attrition rates, candidates not turning up after being accepted, etc.
Go back and look at the root causes of these problems. Don't resort to mumbo jumbo. That is a certain recipe for disaster.
I am sorry for my forthright view, but we need to move on. We are now in the 21st Century, not the Dark Ages.

My Dear Friend,
I would suggest learning "Basic Astronomy," which we learned in the 4th or 5th standard but have since forgotten. This will give you an idea about the origin of the universe, mankind, religion, etc.
Astrology, birthstones, etc., are nothing but a kind of "Pseudo-science" meant for looting and cheating people. (Sorry if this hurts anybody, but it's a fact.)

I fully agree with the comments of Mr. Ulhas Thakur. Astronomy is science. It is a very critical applied mathematics-based science, but Astrology is totally Pseudo-Science. People do not know the fourth dimension, as well as lack confidence in them. They trust and believe in such unscientific theories of Astrology. If this were true, the Pandavas would not have suffered, and Lord Ram might not have been expelled to the forest.
Once I read an editorial in the daily Sambad, a noted Odia Daily, written by its editor Sri Saumya Ranjan Pattanik regarding the definition of luck. He correctly said that luck is where opportunity meets preparedness. A very accurate version. My utmost request to my young friends: please trust yourself, be ready to accept challenges, and be prepared to seize opportunities. I am sure you will succeed.

Hi,
Thanks, everyone, for your important point of view. However, as I have said before, Astrology is a lot more than predicting the future. I fail to understand why commentators here are bringing up issues of Lord Rama and Pandavas, those are related to karmas and dharmas.
Here I want to attract your attention to the system which can solve the recruitment problem. We all will agree to the fact that identifying skills and talent for a particular job vacancy is what we are looking for in a candidate. Knowing the basics of astrology solves all these with ease. It is really high time we should understand the difference between astrology and predictive astrology... once we know about something, only then we can pass judgment on the topic. Please think from a broader point of view and give me your opinion if only you are aware of the subject.

Hi Ullasthakur,
Thanks for your comment.
But please know that astrology is a science, and it's a scientific process in every single way. Predictions are not scientific, and it requires an understanding of the depth of karma, outside influence, and free will, which is very hard for anyone to grasp without knowledge in the subject.
However, the fact everyone must know is that astrology was never wrong; only astrologers were wrong.
I appreciate your participation anyway. Thanks.
