I work in the operations department of an event-based company. We work 6 days a week, and on Sundays, we generally have events. Are those events counted as part of my work hours since I dedicate 10 hours to the event?

I understand that in a week, 48 hours is the maximum I can work. Can I claim overtime for the hours I work on Sunday? Is there any law to back this up?

Since you are an event management company, you fall under the Shops and Establishments Act. Yes, you are entitled to overtime (OT) wages at double the rate as per the act. It is up to you to decide whether you should claim 2 hours of OT.
