Esic has stopped making smart cards since June 07. We have been told to make cards on our own with help of AADHAR card. Hould should we make the card ??
Sir, whether ESIC has advised you in writing for preparation / arranging the Permanent Identity Cards/Family Cards of workers of your unit at your own level ?. If so, can you upload a copy of said communication in this thread ?

ESIC has not discontinued biometric cards. Online biometric cards are still going on in ESIC offices. Only change is that if an employer seed Aadhar number of employee on Esic database than the e-pehchan card, available online, will work as biometric/ permanent card.

Dear Mr. Sunil,
List up your Employee (ESIC MEMBER ONLY) and update Aadhar Card of Employee, Nominee and their family if having Aadhar Card and verify the same by mobile no. After This Aadhar card successfully update in members IP.
you can take print out of the same. this will work as e -pehchan card. No biometric card needed after updating Aadhar card on the IP.

Few changes has been introduced as Detaisl of Adhaar Card / PAN Card, must be incorporated in data.
If Mandatory details has been submitted along with Adhaar card, in that case Biometric is not necessary.
Biometric Cards are being provided.
