Hi,

I am working as an HR professional in a Software Development Company, and I have been tasked with maintaining records of all the company's assets. Can anybody here help me out with either an Excel format or any other free software available on Google?

Thank you very much.

Hi Vijayalakshmi,

What do you mean by computerized asset register? I mean to ask, do you maintain it in Excel format or use any special software for it? If you can, please recommend "any good software" that can keep the records updated with all the modifications and recommendations needed.

Thanks.

Hi,

Ours is a medical e-learning company. We developed our own software for asset management. To your asset register, you can add AMCs to be maintained for assets like generators, elevators, A/Cs, and all such assets for which continuous maintenance is required. In addition, insurance coverage details with amounts paid and insurer's details, etc., would assist you in better asset management. We maintain a similar register for all consumables like stationery, CDs, and video-related requirements such as video tapes, batteries, etc.

Regards,
Vijaya Lakshmi
