Dear All,
Recently i have started HR Consultacy , i am trying to get tie up with the clients in my location, most of the clients are interested to avail my services but they are ready to pay consultancy charges and they are asking me to get charges from the candidate, some of the other consultants are also following the same procedure in my area. Hence I am decided to get my recruitment charges from the candidate who will be selected for placement, for that I want to prepare an agreement copy with terms and conditions to avoid further difficulties from the candidate. Can anyone please provide me the relevant format for the same

Hi Prasad,
Good luck on your new business. Charging the candidate for the recruitment services is highly not possible. There are few agencies who do so, stating the track record of their services. However being a new player in the market, that would be very hard for you to charge the candidate. Also you may target candidate with lesser experience, as candidates with more experience will not agree in paying for the services.

Thank you Mr.Mahesh Nair,
i agree with you, even i am also not interested to charge the candidate. As you said candidates who are looking for for change they are not interested to pay the consultant charges.
since five months I have created data base and got few clients but since the client as well as candidates are not willing to pay the consultancy charges i am unable to generate the revenue. now i understood i am in wrong place and due to my personal reasons i cant move to other place. can you please advise me.

Basically, you are between a rock and a hard place.
If you cannot generate revenue, you cannot run your business and survive.
Unpalatable as it may sound, you have no option but to cut your losses now, and get out before you lose any more money.
You need to find a job yourself, and fast.
Search for my previous postings on starting a business. It is very difficult, and many, many people end up in the position you now find yourself due to lack of planning, and doing a thorough analysis of the business idea first.
Had you done this, you would have realised there is way too much competition in this area in India, and you would have learnt that you cannot charge candidates. If they have no job, how can they pay you? And why would they? I am sorry, but this notion of making candidates pay for someone to find them a job, with no guarantee of success is just plain stupid.
