Subject: Responding to Employee Background Verification Emails

Dear [Recipient's Name],

I am writing to address a concern regarding the background verification process. Upon reviewing the attached documents, particularly the payslip, I have identified discrepancies in the information provided. It appears that our former employee may have altered their salary details on the payslip. While this discrepancy exists, I would like to emphasize that the individual's work experience and other credentials remain genuine.

In light of this situation, I kindly request guidance on how to appropriately respond to the verification emails. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Warm regards,
Venkatesh

Write out the truth in polite language.

No need to help people who modify their documents. Did the ex-employee consult you while modifying the payslip? Why get involved in supporting fake/modified documents? The ex-employee knows about BGV and is taking things for granted. Be careful while replying.
