Recruitment Process for Central Government Positions

The recruitment to the Central Government or any public office is conducted through a proper recruitment process based on the Recruitment Rules established by the respective Government or Department for the specific post. The Honorable Supreme Court, in the case of State of Karnataka vs. Uma Devi & Others (2006), decided that a public servant can only be recruited through the proper procedure as specified in the Recruitment Rules.

Therefore, a contractual employee, even with a long period of service on a contract basis, will not be regularized in the Government department where they work on a contract basis. If you meet the age and eligibility criteria prescribed for such recruitment, you can apply for various government posts advertised from time to time.

Best wishes.
