We have a cut-off date of the 5th of every month to disburse the salary. We pay employees on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of the previous month, or on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd of the current month. Will there be any problem? I heard that paying the salary in advance may become an issue for organizations with credit card companies. Please advise.

Salary disbursement should be at consistent dates. We can't disburse the salary on the 5th one month, the 4th another month, the 3rd the next month, and the 6th the following month, even though our cutoff date is the 5th of every month.
Credit card companies like ICICI and HDFC, who provide credit cards to employees, will check the consistency of the salary disbursement dates. It should not deviate from the salary cutoff date.

Omkar, what's your query?
It is right that the salary should be paid on a particular date, but lawfully, the salary needs to be paid before the 7th of every month. Taking this into consideration, companies can pay it on variable days, as long as they are within the stipulated due dates.
Regarding the credit card, why should they bother with the salary payment... they are only concerned with their payments on time... what's the link between salary disbursement and credit card.
