Seniors,

I am in a problem.

Actually, I have applied for Provident Fund settlement. My PF A/C No is PY/KRP/0035233/000/0000210. I first received a message on my mobile and settled the PF claim amount to my A/C No: 31008626246 with IFSC CODE: SBIN001013.

Then, I received another message that my pension WB claim is Rs. 8401.00 sent to A/C No: 31008626246. However, the IFSC CODE is: BKID0008403.

My pension WB claim has been sent to the same account number as mine but with a different IFSC code. So, the money has been transferred to some other account.

Now, what is the fastest and easiest way to get the money back to my account? I could understand whom I should contact now. Please advise at the earliest.

Mail me at sagarikanttf@gmail.com.

Thanks,

RTGS and NEFT transfers need to be done by the bank verifying the account number and name of the account holder. If there is a difference, the same is returned to the original sending party.

So the money would go back to the PF department, and you can file a complaint to have it changed.

I understand that money must be returned to the remitter, i.e., PF department, as the IFSC code is for Bank of India and the account series belongs to State Bank of India. These days, account numbers of the bank do not match with each other.

Hence, write to or contact the concerned EPFO for re-sending the money to the correct account.
