Jharkhand Govt has issued a notification to revise minimum wages effective 26.08.2015. All previously declared VDA has been merged into the new basic. The notification has been issued as an amendment to the notification dated 16.06.2011.
The new Basic Salaries are as follows:
1. U/S (Monthly / Daily) - 6550/251.92
2. S/S (Monthly / Daily) - 6860/263.84
3. Skilled (Monthly / Daily) - 9120/350.76
4. H/S (Monthly / Daily) - 10450/401.92
The notification is attached for reference for all.

Hi Vikram,
Thank you for the circular. However, I am a bit confused as I found another notification from the Government of Jharkhand dated 14th August '15 regarding the same issue, where the minimum wages are different. Which one should be followed? Any thoughts on this? I am attaching the notification.

Dear Jayanta,
It is mentioned in the notification that it is replacing the old notification dated 16.06.2011. If you were following that, you need to follow this. Also, the notification dated 14.08.2015 is for scheduled employment with a shop and establishment license. If you are in contractual work and have a contract labor license, you need to follow the notification dated 26.08.2015 only.
