I presently work in Noida with a software firm. I was on a 6-month probation period from February 15 until July 31. Now that I have completed my probation period, I have not signed any other documents such as a probation extension agreement or accepted any letter stating a permanent employment agreement. My question is, if I resign now, do I need to serve any notice period? My employer had a 2-month notice period during probation, but my probation period is over.

Until and unless your services are confirmed in writing by the Management, till such time you are deemed a probationer only. If you want to continue, you must wait for your confirmation and follow the company rules. There is no compulsion to absorb you into permanent roles, as it is solely at the discretion of the Company. If you want to quit, follow the clause of the notice period. Please proceed as per the procedure and do not take any hasty action.
